東日本巨大地震における情報(Part9: 2011/03/22)

東日本大震災を受けての中長期的な医療支援についての研究を、ハーバード大学と東京大学が中心となって行うようです。

【概 要】
◆テーマ:  Japan Disaster Relief: Mid-Long Term Medical Support, Recording and Best Practice Analysis

◆プロジェクトの内容:
On March 11, 2011, an earthquake of magnitude 9.0 and a subsequent tsunami struck Japan.
The death toll is expected to rise to 10,000s. Immediate medical rescue activities are on the way,
however, mid-long term medical relief are essential to protect survivors’ health.

In response to this disaster, students and researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health,
University of Tokyo, other universities and medical institutions are gathering to support this initiative.
We are looking to initiate a research to track mid-long term medical relief activities and analyze the impact,
through setting up an electronic medical record system to track victims’ health (including mental health).
The research result will be used to extract the best practice of medical support in disaster relief activities,
and will be shared with governments, academic institutions and international organizations
