Maryland's Cellular Telephone Ban Begins on Friday October 1st

Maryland 州においても、運転時の携帯使用が禁止されることになりました。
2009年より施行されていた運転中のテキスト禁止に続き、（携帯を手に持っての）通話も禁止されるようです。

日本からするとようやく、と言ったところでしょうか。

Effective October 1, all drivers are prohibited from using hand-held cell phones while driving on a street or highway.

Drivers under 18 already are prohibited from using cell phones at all while driving. This new ban is in addition to the 2009 Maryland law prohibiting texting while driving. To read more about the new law, click here
